All of us at Smith Haven Mazda hope that you and your families are well during this temporary setback in our everyday lives. Due to recent closures we are providing a list of questions that have been asked that might relate to a question you could possibly have. The phone lines are jammed right now at the banks so some of the questions and answers will help with you waiting on hold.Â

1) Do lenders are offering payment extensions? - We have heard from many lenders that they are deferring payments up to 90 days. This is a phone call you need to make and if you qualify there is no paperwork involved. It's a few minutes on the phone with a customer care rep at the financial institution and you are all set.

2) What if my lease is due back with Mazda during the mandatory shut down? - Mazda Capital (Chase Automotive) have agreed to offer extensions to customers for up to 6 months. So if you are due to renew in the next 30-60 days this is a phone call that you should make to Mazda Capital to take advantage of the program. You basically go month to month for whatever time period and when we re-open you can end your lease then. Again you will have up to 6 months and can break that month to month when we are back to selling.

3) Can I drop off a lease return during the shutdown? (if not getting into another Mazda) - We cannot accept lease returns at this time since there is no one to accept and "ground" the unit with the lender. Please contact Mazda Capital to let them know your lease is due and that you do not want another Mazda. They will guide you on what to do with that vehicle.

4) Am I losing an special incentives that may have been out during the time we were closed? - Great News out of all this is that Mazda is giving back twice towards your loyalty! You will get double loyalty upon returning your lease for a new Mazda. This will be for a limited time so make sure you check in with us as soon the mandate is lifted.
4) What happens if I am going over mileage? - If you are going over mileage you can contact Mazda Capital and they can extend your lease month to month. This will increase the allowed mileage on your vehicle for the time the lease is extended.
5) Can I purchase a car now while you are closed? - 100% - we have online shopping tools available for you to work out payments, submit a credit application, and even do a trade appraisal. A deposit is required to hold a certain vehicle and we can schedule delivery once we are able to do so. Home delivery will be available once we re-open.
